Last week, I got to chat with Ela Whittaker, an Exclusive Black-Status Presenter who just moved to Texas. Ela (who also goes by Liz/Elizabeth/Elżbieta) was born in Poland and moved to Canada as a baby. Just two days later I met her in person and spent this past weekend with her at Younified Leadership Retreat here in Utah. She grew up in Canada, just outside Niagara Falls, with a love of fashion and style. An accomplished makeup artist, Ela studied Business, Fashion, and Cosmetics at college in Toronto. (No wonder she found her niche with Younique many years later.)

After college, Ela had a successful career in purchasing for Walmart Canada and purchased all fashion and jewelry for the company. (What a lot of fun, right? No wonder she loves to shop!) She also worked in purchasing for the consumer electronics industry and traveled extensively, going to all the big trade shows in North America for several years. After getting married and having a baby, Ela started to rethink the career track she was on. Although she enjoyed her work, she knew that the stress of traveling would be difficult as a mom. Her primary focus is being a mother.

Luckily, Ela is super flexible and creative. She has many talents and a lot of determination. Ela wanted to get back into something she really loved (like being a makeup artist). So, when Ela saw a post for #Younique she jumped for it. She said that she knew everyone would love the 3D Fiber Lashes, and her husband was supportive, so she signed up. Ela loves the way the business combines her love of cosmetics and style with her desire to be with her family. “With Younique, I have the best of both worlds: I have sales, and I’m playing with makeup all the time!” She loves doing makeup training sessions, trade shows, vendor shows, and home parties for her friends.

Ela recently moved from Canada to the Houston, Texas area with her husband and 15-month old son and she appreciates the flexibility that building a #Younique business offers. She loves the friendships she’s made with this company and says Younique Presenters are some of the most courageous women she’s ever met.

In addition to playing with makeup and caring for her son, Ela also loves to shop. She describes herself as “super girly,” and after spending some time with her at the Younified event last weekend I totally agree. She’s so much fun and all heart! Ela also loves entertaining and pulling together parties and events for her friends. “We celebrate Festivus with our friends and we have an Oscars night, when we all dress up to the nines.” She’s a true entertainer!

One of the great things I noticed about Ela is that she’s so adaptable to change. This woman can succeed anywhere! Whether she’s moving to a new country, starting a new career, or taking on new family responsibilities, Ela does it with style and enjoys the challenge.

Ela is confident, independent, intelligent, and beautiful. She’s an amazing part of the Younique family and I warmly congratulate her on her success in reaching Exclusive Black-Status with Younique.
